What is your scaffolding made out of?
Aluminium and steel are the only two materials which beams/supports should be made out of. Which we use depends on the application. They’re attached to base plates and fixed together with couplers. Boards are placed on the scaffold to provide a working surface for users.
Might scaffolding cause damage to my property?
Our domestic scaffolding and commercial scaffold teams take great care to ensure that no damage is caused to the Wandsworth property which we’re attending to. The key to this is a precise, in-depth plan that takes into account any vulnerable features, and a careful and methodical approach to the erection itself. Please keep in mind that we are not responsible for any damage caused to your property by workers using our scaffolding. It’s down to them to avoid working recklessly.
Can scaffolding be erected on uneven ground or around strangely shaped buildings?
Yes. Uneven ground and oddly shaped buildings around Wandsworth rarely prevents our domestic scaffolding / commercial scaffolding hire teams from erecting a supported structure. In the case of the former, a large baseplate can be secured at ground level to create an even surface to build up of. In the latter, we’ll merely make allowances in our plans/blueprints that take into account the design of your property.
Am I able to make adjustments to the scaffold after you have erected it?
No! Please don’t make any alterations whatsoever. This could make the structure unsafe and lead to someone being badly injured or worse. If you need any aspect of your domestic scaffolding or commercial scaffolding structure adjusted, give us a call. We pride ourselves on our customer “after-care”, and as we’re based not far from Wandsworth in Dover, we can quickly be with you to make any required changes. Then we’ll inspect the scaffold to ensure it is still safe for use, and you can get back on with the work you were doing.
How do you approach matters of health and safety?
When it comes to health and safety, there are few scaffolding hire companies not just in Wandsworth, but the whole of the UK who take it as seriously as us. This is reflected in schemes we’re apart of and the bodies we work alongside. These include the Contractors Health and Safety Scheme, Construction Line, SafeContractor, ROSPA and the Construction Industry Training Board, which trains all members of our domestic scaffolding and commercial scaffolding team to a high level. On every new job we undertake, we’ll launch a through risk assessment and make an in-depth plan to ensure that every potential issue is identified and action is taken to safeguard against a problematic occurrence. This approach has seen us attract many big-name clients including some of the UK’s most prestigious blue chip companies.
